Sandra Bullock and Others Who Don't Think They Have an Oscar Chance

Click Video Sandra Bullock Oscar 2010 award nomination (The blind side) Nominee Luncheon from Youtube

After winning top honors at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and Golden Globes, Sandra Bullock received her first Oscar nomination this year for "The Blind Side." But she's already convinced she's not bringing the little man home.

"I'm so not winning an Oscar," said the feisty brunette. "Nine times out of ten I always pick who's going to win. And I already know who's going to win."

Hmmm ... sounds like she's using a little reverse psychology, doesn't it? Still, I'm sorta digging Bullock's self-deprecation. Over the years, a few of her fellow movie-makers have made similiar pronouncement. Let's see how it turned out for them.

James Cameron

Ok, so we don't know who will win this one, either, but James Cameron doesn't think he'll win Best Director for "Avatar." Not because he doesn't deserve a win, but because Cameron thinks he peeved off the Oscar bosses when he said "I'm king of the world!" after winning Best Director for "Titanic."

He explains, "I always believe it's very unlike that lightning will strike twice. I believe it's very unlikely that we will win because I made such a jacka** out of myself last time."

Instead, Cameron is cheering for his ex-wife, Kathryn Bigelow, to win for "The Hurt Locker."

"I would happily lose to her," he said. "I've already got one of those damn statues."

Mickey Rourke Wins Best Actor at Golden Globes 2009

Mickey Rourke takes hone Best Actor Award at the Golden Globes 2009 last nigh for his role in The Wrestler.

Definitely a big comeback for Rourke. Mickey gave a pretty down-to-earth and thankful acceptance speech-highlighted by frequent use of the word "balls" as a compliment yet very thanful. See video below and an old handsome pic of Rourke in 9 1/2 weeks.

Mickey didn't always look like this before. For those who aren't old enough, Mickey was born September 16, 1952 in New York. He was trained as a boxer in his early years. In the early 80s, Rourke starred in Body Heat in which he portrayed an arsonist which gained him significant attention and fame.

Then there came the sexual controversial box office hit, 9 1/2 weeks starring opposite Kim Basinger. Believe it or not, it helped Rourke gained his sex symbol status. Ok, you may want to stay away from plastic surgeries, substance addictions if you want to grow old gracefully, methink.

Anyway, congratulations and hope we are going to see more of Rourke from now on! Oscar for Mickey? What do you think?

Making the most of a sunny SoCal afternoon, Mischa Barton was spotted at the Oscar Generale Showroom in Beverly Hills yesterday (November 24).

The "Oh in Ohio" actress looked a bit spaced out as she strolled past nearby paparazzi, sporting a snazzy stylish ensemble with a bangy coif.

And it sounds like fans of "The Beautiful Life" will get to see the remaining episodes that weren't aired after the CW cut the show earlier this season.

According to a report, Mischa & Co. Will be back this summer with the unseen episodes, though the show isn't going back into production as of now.

Ryder: 'I wasn't jealous of Jolie's Oscar win'

The two actresses played mental patients in the 1999 film, and Ryder, who also produced the film, insists there were no hard feelings when Jolie was nominated and then went on to win gold for Best Supporting Actress.

She tells Black Book magazine, "I was hurt that people thought that. Everyone assumed I was really jealous because I thought this would be my vehicle.

"We said from the very beginning that the actress who played Lisa ( Jolie's part ) would probably win an Oscar, because it was the big, great, showy part. I fought very hard for her (Jolie) to have that part"

But Ryder admits she never really got to know Jolie during the making of the film and the actress has never thanked her for jumpstarting her career and helping her land an Oscar.

Ryder adds, "It won't read in print very nicely if I say that wasn't really her style. But she seems to be a complety different person now."
